Founder Q&A
Why does Network Media choose a pink color logo and what does it represent?
Pink color symbolizes that we have a female founder. It represents warmth and femininity. In our current world, people often emphasize the role of masculism, aggression and competition. But I believe femininity represents a different kind of strength. The Chinese phrase, "水滴石穿“, means that water penetrates the rock over time. When that happens, water does not get hurt and does not get deformed, because of its nature. I think femininity is a quality both men and women can obtain.
Why do you include both renowned scholars and emerging researchers as part of your network in your consultancy?
I worked with many intellectual giants in my education journey and I truly benefited from their wisdom, their scholarly way of thinking, and how they scientifically analyze social problems. Meanwhile, they encouraged me to think freely and creatively in my academic training because emerging researchers may have a lot of fresh experiences from their lives and their research field sites.
Why does Network Media focus on these three particular industries: International Education, Innovation and Technology and Digital Economy?
My international education journey starts over a decade ago as an exchange student to the United States. I worked as a teaching assistant and lecturer in the US higher education system which equipped me with firsthand experience consulting and mentoring students with diverse backgrounds. My academic work has taken me to many places and institutions in the US, UK , Europe, China and Africa to conduct research in digital economy and innovation. I have the research expertise, track records and professional networks to navigate these areas as a founder.
