Our Founding Story
Network Media is founded in "darkness"
In 2021, our founder, Dr. Sister Gracie took her academic job in South Africa where frequent loadshedding (power cut) occurred five to six times in a day. At that time, she just finished her research monograph on China's global innovation center, Shenzhen, but it was her life and working experience in Africa reenforced her belief in her Shenzhen development and innovation research: With no sustainable access to electricity and telecommunications infrastructure, digital breakthroughs and technological innovations would not happen.

Network Media is founded in "cold water"
Electricity energy and water are intertwined. Power blackouts have led to damages to water supply infrastructure and operations. The lack of power causes the lack of basic hot showering water. This experience further made her understand why so many kids in Africa drop out of schools and universities when they can get jobs to feed their families: Education is a luxury when people are deprived of basic life needs such as electricity and water.

Network Media is founded in our founder's "wake-up" call
How to combine rigorous research and fieldwork with the real world to solve global problems and to make an impact as a new generation is what impregnates this consulting organization.
